Borrowed Landscapes di Peter Scupham
A real mixed bag. The early pastoral poems are good in a dreamy sort of way, but the style varies dramatically from page to page, between ironic and sincere, and its hard to categorize. Generally gets better as it gets madder, whilst the worst are the plainly descriptive poems. The long autobiographical section 'Playtime in a Cold City' captured some great images of young Cambridge life in the 50s, but did nothing special for me, and might have been better as prose.
