First part worked because Janice had caught John off-guard and manipulated him in different bondage easily. It didn't work in this part because John seemed to be prepared, and as the author didn't bother with building characters properly and showing as the reactions, John's acceptance to all those bondage in first half of this second part didn't make any sense at all. The second half had a storyline that seriously demanded proper characterization, as it was much deeper into BDSM romance. Lack of that lost the intensity of that drama because of attachment with any of the characters. I must say that the idea of this story was good, but Vickie should have written this part different from the first, and should have proved details of the three central characters in this story.
