The Cowboy's Prize by Jamie K. Schmidt
This story starts out with Dylan and he rides in the rodeo. He trains a lot of the riders til one died. He is haunted by the boys death.
Story also follows Leann who's a rider. He gets to train her also but she wants the big bulls that the men ride.
Through the rodeos we learn about their lifes and travel and competing.
He tells her about his dreams of running a bull rehab ranch, a place where bulls can go to die a natural death. He gets promotions along the way but also loses his job.
They are dating but in different locations. Lots of adult situations. Like the conflicts among the bull riders and how it's resolved.
Can't image these two getting together again.
Great read, entertaining.
Received this review copy from the publisher and this is my honest opinion.

Received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I found the main female character so boring in this story. I wanted more about her sister or Anya the plus size model. I was so disappointed when she ended up with the guy though he too was a little boring. The smut factor was there but the romantic leads were a snoozefest.

I enjoyed it!! and it was hott! It has been a while since I have done a cocky hero review but I am glad that I chose to do this one, So we meet Jackie who goes to Las Vegas looking for her sister who due to an injury goes to Las Vegas to get away from her controlling mother and to find herself and seems to disappear. Her mother guilts and orders Jackie to go even though she is a grown woman but this mother is one of those mothers. When Jackie gets there she is finding out that that maybe her mother was not all that wrong and she ends up meeting Miles (which ladies, shoot I wish I met Miles) ahh nevertheless, these two meet and the sexual chemistry is off the charts from the get go, now he does not remember the sister since she til Jackie mentions broadway, but Jackie is completely different, and Jackie he can't forget, and my friends you should read..Loved Chance, Loved Miles, Loved Jackie.. Hated Jackie-she was so ungrateful..but hey she got us a book.

rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.

I thought this was a charming book. I like that it had the small town feel. Kayleigh, her sisters, and father were great. Liam is a sweetheart. It was nice that Liam and Kayleigh did not have an instant love connection; despite them having a crush on each other.

However, I felt that the story really took a long time to pick up any momentum. To the point that I did lose interest in the story. There were parts of the story in first half that could have been cut without losing the overall story itself. Yet, I did feel the spark between Liam and Kayleigh when they did finally get together. While, I did not like this book, I would give this author another try.… (altro)
