Tony Schmaeling

TONY SCHMAELING came to Australia from Poland when he was 17. Always
an enthusiastic cook, he gave up a successful career in architecture several
years ago to start his first restaurant, The Gamekeeper. Though it was an entirely
new concept in Sydney, a restaurant devoted exclusively to the cooking of
game, it was an enormous success. The Fig Tree restaurant followed and then
came his first cookbook The Food Processor Cookbook.
The Complete European Cookbook is a compilation of all that’s best from his
