Sort of like a modern sequel to Mullet and Sano's "Designing Visual Interfaces" from 1994, this book does a nice job of showing how the three foundational design principles of consistency, hierarchy and personality are concretized into design decisions for layout, color, imagery and other aspects of graphical user interfaces. It works well as a text for graphic designers transitioning into app design, even though it needs complementary material when it comes to UX methodology including fieldwork and user testing.… (altro)
