In this book, it talks about how to be a successful military leader. There are different sections in this book, Battlefield Psychology, The first days of war, the14th German Division in the battle of Marne, Leavening Raw troops with Veterans, A young Company commander in a Rapidly Changing Situation, Contrasting service with Trained and Untrained Troops, Borderland Between Open and Trench war fare, the Delovopment of the German Army Since the World War, the Army of the United States. Each section has examples, stories and a, how to, handle each situation. In the section Battlefield Psychology one example is when the captain is launching an attack and he gives the commands to three different colonels but each one is different and needs a different set of orders. Examples like this are used throughout the whole book.
I liked this book because the examples are detailed and easy to imagine. I gave this book 4 stars because it was interesting and for a nonfiction book. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in war or is learning about war. I didn't like this book because I'm not a fan of non fiction and some of the parts I would find myself reading the same sentence over and over. But overall this book was very informational and detailed.… (altro)
