Our local library had this book and I am so glad I decided to check it out (even before checking out his newest book!)

One of the things that I think will stay with me most after reading this book is the concept behind the phrase “leaving it better.”

Sauls writes about leaving the world better than before and how this translates to living our lives for Christ. In a chapter specifically about work and vocation, he writes:

“As the image of God, every time we participate
in work that creates and restores, we also participate in God's work of leaving people, places, and things better.”

In other parts of the book, he writes on how we can do the same when living out our faith, loving our neighbors, serving the poor and needy, and more.

I loved this book to such an extent that I’m going to purchase my own copy so I can reread sections of it as a yearly reminder of our calling as Christ’s disciples to live our faith in a way that makes Jesus and committing to Him an irresistible choice to those around us. Highly recommend!
