I was hoping for some tactical tips on how to deal with such people every day. The suggestions are shallow and not very helpful.

The gaslighter’s character is ever-changing and loosely defined. It reminds me of horoscope.

Why not 1-star? Some paragraphs that describe the gaslighter are satisfying to read. They remind you that somewhere, someone understands the pain you are going through, dealing with this person.

This book is incredibly basic. I am far beyond this book, but it was a gift and I thought it might have some creative tip to accommodate my ADD better - nope. It is not that this book is useless (well, it was for me but I don't think it would be for everyone) as this book as plenty of activities to work with your partner and improve your money coordination and communication. I disagree with the suggestion that the ADD-er not handle the money - the premise of the book is that money management can be learned - as those with ADD can do it with practice and possibly external discipline (I am better with money than most of my family and plenty of my exes, from having learned external organization and habit). It can help you learn the basics (particularly for Americans, as some of the information is US-specific) and remind you that money management is not beyond you, but this is one of the most basic books I have ever read. Only get this book if you really know nothing or feeling like you need to get back to the most basic information ever.… (altro)
