However, this book is written for "fun and popularity". It is not a scientific text. [17] Having said that, the author clearly show experience, competence, and is a lot of fun at a party. I myself enjoyed exploring handwriting with friends and strangers.
Recognize its limitations. This "analysis" is revealing, but subject to interpretation. We cannot even determine whether the hand is a woman or a man. Many a dear little grandmother has a strong aggressive script!
Nor can a review of traits, abilities and temperament enable us to predict the future. [24] We cannot judge a good or bad character. [35]
Culture and education impact the hand. Spanish is often written with flourishing ornate capital letters, indicating pride and romance. French writing is smaller, more logically composed. Italian shows rhythm and skill with small letters and graceful capitals. Russian script is emotional, gregarious, large and flowing. German is angular and more meticulous than any other. British writing is reserved with few flourishes. The Middle and Far East script is not based on the Latin alphabet, but it is not difficult to analyze it in terms of pressure, margins, and the liberties taken. American? The admixture of all.
While never becoming technical or occult, the author reveals the logical relationships between the writings and certain characteristics of people:
Ruled by head or heart?
Friendly or aloof?
Optimist or pessimist?
Extravagant or thrifty?
Competitive or cooperative?
Introvert or extrovert, or ambivert?
Aggressive or retiring?
Humorous or serious?
Tenacious or easy-going?
Modern or conventional?
Independent or cautious?
Procrastinator or enthusiast?
Talkative or secretive?
Comfortable or seeking fame?
Proud or modest?
