This is not one of my favorites from the Bard. The story is convoluted - there are too many devious plots to kill people for no reason; events are shaped beyond anybody's control but Prospero's. I was not a fan of including the antique godesses, nymphs and spirits, it seemed like a copout from writing about people, which I feel is Shakespeare's best suit.

I know this is considered autobiographical, and allegorical of colonism, but that's just not my cup of tea. On the flip side, the writing is brilliant, as always.… (altro)
