A powerful defense of the "day age" interpretation of the Bible's creation narratives. This debate (does the Bible speak of creation as 6 24 hour days or 6 "days" that were actually many years long) is not an essential doctrine of the Christian faith, but it has engendered much acrimonious debate within the church. A Matter of Days makes the case for a day age interpretation while also trying to establish peace with the literal day side. Comprehensive and persuasive. As a secular humanist, I found myself rethinking many of my assumptions. In this book, Hugh Ross stands up to the scientific establishment with a clear message in a credible, science-based format.
