M. L. Rose

This is book 6 in a series and it stands alone, but reading previous books would give you background on the main characters. This was an interesting well developed mystery with an ending I did not see coming. A missing baby case is hard for anyone to investigate but when the lead detective is pregnant and due soon it is even harder. Add in a prominent couple— he is a producer and she is an Instagram star—who wants complete privacy and the investigating becomes even harder. Throw in a crazy ex-boyfriend who holds grudges and you have the elements of a really good book. M L Rose has written a book that touches heartstrings and pulls the reader into the story. It mystifies and horrifies and satisfies. Thanks to the author for allowing me to read an advance copy. I look forward to reading the rest of this series… (altro)
