Cuando Michaela Anderson decide, con unos amigos del trabajo, lanzarse en paracaídas, no sabe que tendrá algo más que vértigo. This novel is told by a narrator whose name we don't know for most of it, since she loses her memory at the end of the first chapter. She's caught in a snowstorm, and rescued by a farmer, but finds his housekeeper very suspicious. She's also rather spooked by his daughter, who apparently speaks to her deceased sister. Then she starts some informal hypnotherapy with the housekeeper's brother in the hope of finding her memory, only to find herself, apparently, living in a past life in Victorian times.

There's a mystery from the past which is solved, some problems in her host family which are finally worked through, and a very bizarre next-door neighbour. I found the writing good, the suspense bearable (although I found it hard to read late at night) and the conclusion satisfying, even if a bit too tidy in the final epilogue. Not the average chick-lit despite the fluffy looking cover. Recommended. Four and a half stars, really… (altro)
