Rocha uses the lessons she learned overcoming personal debt to teach readers how to triumph over the lies we tell ourselves, such as "I deserve a treat," "Fake it till you make it," and "I can't afford it." Each chapter uses real-life examples to explain faulty thinking about money, followed by step-by-step instructions for how to overcome these pitfalls. I actually really enjoyed this book. The information was not too advanced, so if you have done a lot of research or have a lot of experience with personal finance, this may be the book for you. However, I don't have much experience or knowledge, and I had been spending way too much money on things we didn't before reading this book. By using her own life experiences, the author makes this book much easier to grasp. She goes through five attitude changes that will help you manage your money better, but she does it in a way that makes you know that it is okay if you mess up from time to time. A good book for someone who is struggling with budgeting.
Author Carrie Rocha book is small but insightful and educational. She focuses on changing your attitude toward money to make a lsting change. The one thing I like about this book is how she opens up with her own personal struggles with finances,m oney and debt. She also gives saving tips and budgeting advice. It really is true that you need to change the way you think about money to make a lasting change. There are bigger books with much more detail but this will appeal to many people. A good read for everyone no matter your level of monetary skills.… (altro)
