The term "revival" has normally meant a church-sponsered evangelistic meeting. The revival we need is transformed lives and churches. The steps to revival is humility; prayer; seeking God's face; turn from our wicked way; unity; and perseverance.

After His crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus gave His disciples an assignment to change the world—but told them to wait until the power of the Holy Spirit had come upon them before setting out. His charge to modern-day believers is no different: To do the works that Jesus did (and even greater ones, as He said), it is imperative that we operate from the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

Pat Robertson can sometimes be a bit heavy handed when he's writing an opinion piece. I found this book to be one sided, of course, but I didn't disagree with the side he's on at all. The author gives plenty of evidence indicating the court has in the past and seems to be continuing to use nebulous grounds for many of their rulings. I encourage conservatives to read this book if for no other reason than to get a bit of history on many of the rulings that have gotten us to the point we are today.

In general, I enjoy apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic novels, which is the only reason I ever got this book. I found it fairly hard to finish this book, for the expected reason, the fact that Mr. Robertson tries to use it as an indoctrination tool. This is NOT Science Fiction. There are several places where he tries to make it sound like a mainstream science fiction novel, and fails. The description of the 'meteor' strike and the ensuing earthquake chain are the most glaring examples.

It is very much a Fundamentalist Christian novel. He quotes heavily from the Bible, and pretty much ignores other religious beliefs, other than to demonize Hindu religions. If you aren't Christian, you are EVIL is the final takeaway from it.… (altro)
