Victoria Bryant and Leland Ambrose are not two people you might expect to end up together. Victoria has worked her way up from receptionist to personal secretary, has two great friends and Leland is a billionaire who falls for her. Their story at times seems unbelievable to me but then…fiction is fiction and a story we pick up to read that is going to be a romance doesn’t have to be “true”. There were times that Victoria took offense with Leland that I didn’t understand at all, but then perhaps that is just Victoria. The one thing that I found a bit difficult was that the book is told in present tense and from both Victoria’s and Leland’s viewpoints – at the beginning of some chapters I felt I was rereading the previous chapter (dialogue is often repeated) until I tweaked to which character was telling the story.… (altro)
