Neale Pryor (1935–2011)

His upper-level work was done at Freed-Hardeman College, Harding College, Vanderbilt University, Harding School of Theology, and New Orleans Baptist Seminary, where he received his B.A., Masters, Masters, and Doctorate degrees. He also received honorary doctorates from Freed-Hardeman University and Harding University.

He received the Distinguished Teacher Award three times from Harding University, as well as the Harding University Distinguished Alumni Award. He served the university for 45 years where he taught Bible, was chairman of the Bible Department, was director of the annual Bible Lectureship, and served as Vice President for Academic Affairs. Additionally, he was a sponsor for Beta Phi Social Club, assistant sponsor for Alpha Chi, was a member of the Local Optimist Club.

In addition to authoring the book, You Can Trust Your Bible, he wrote for many Christian publications. Through the years he preached over 500 gospel meetings in more than 40 states and several foreign countries. He also officiated at many marriage ceremonies and preached numerous funerals, including his son's, Alan Neale, who preceded him in death nine years ago.
