more of a travelouge than a natural history book- I've read getting stoned with savages and couldn't help but think of it as the writer related his experiences, though he is far more culturally sensitive than "savages" author. Loved the bits of mythology and culinary suggestions sprinkled trhoughout

If you read one book about eels this year make it this one.
Way more interesting than I expected. The author displays astounding sensitivity regarding the mysticism of the Maoris.

Good Day's Fishing di James Prosek

This book is about a boy who is look for something specific he needs to go fishing. We are taken on a journey through his tackle box, and he explains to us what each lure does. There is a glossary of them at the end of the book as well. The illustrations in this book are phenomenal! I strive to be that good of an artist as I continue my work on the side. I think this book is adorable, and I would have it in my classroom library.
