The New Princeton encyclopedia of poetry and poetics di Alex Preminger
The Bible.
Highly recommended for literary and poetry researchers, writers, readers and students. Comprehensive, informative and understandable. This project was clearly done with a great deal of love for the subject. 1993 edition has a contents list but no index and may be out-of-date. All entries are listed Alphabetically. I have not found anything that can be used as a substitute for a quick reference to date.
If you want to find something obscure or basic this is the book.
One of my professors recommended I buy this if I was serious about my poetry. I was, and I did, and I'm happy about the decision. What a great reference tool. Invaluable really. I can't recommend this enough if you're serious about the poetry-stuff.
