- Judit Polgár, born in Budapest, Hungary, is the youngest of three famous sisters, the others being Susan Polgár and Sofia (Zsófia) Polgár. She is generally considered the strongest female chess player in history. She won the title of Grandmaster at age 15, and was the number one ranked woman in the world from 1989 until March 2015, when she was overtaken by Chinese player Hou Yifan. She became number one again in the August 2015 FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs) World Rankings. In 2000, Polgár, she married Gusztáv Font, a veterinary surgeon with whom she has two children.
