Dea Poirier

We follow Blair as she tries to find her sister, who is a social media influencer that has recently posted some questionable content. I like that this story includes current technology and the issues that can arise from being an influencer. The alternating story lines allows the reader to get a glimpse into Blair and Evianna's childhood while simultaneously trying to solve her disappearance.

Once again, Amelia Sciandra has done a great job narrating this novel. I am looking forward to listening to more books narrated by Amelia in the future.… (altro)

This was kind of a slog. It's not bad per say just not that strong. And for only being 300 pages it felt much longer. The main character, Claire was likeable but bland. The rest of the characters were much of the same. The romance between her and Nick sucked - it made zero sense and lacked chemistry.

The mystery itself was confusing. I didn't really get why her mum was against everything? Or the motivations of any of the characters really. There were a few funny lines but most of the book was gloomy and without much action it just fell flat.

I'm not sure how to rate this book because I read it during a busy time and maybe that's why I had such a hard time with it??
First off, I can say that I listened via audio book and didn't care for the voice. It just didn't feel right for this character.
Secondly, the plot must not have grabbed me because I repeatedly fell asleep while listening. Again, it was a busy time so I was tired but this doesn't happen to me too often.
So unfortunately, I really don't remember anything about this book even though I just finished it.… (altro)
