{My thoughts} – Eva and her classmates get to go on an all new adventure in this book. They are going to go camping and they are all very excited. They get to sing songs around the campfire, they get to make cool projects, and they get to go on a fun treasure hunt.

This book is mostly about them not working on their projects. They decide to combine efforts and work on a treasure hunt instead after their teacher tells them a story. A bunch of her classmates including her get together and work on finding and solving the clues. Once they reach the end of the camping trip they decide it’s time to tell everyone. When they do not everyone shares the same interest as they do, but their teacher agrees to look at the clues they have found.

I really enjoy this book series. It is so simple and the illustrations are bright and fun. Each of the illustrations within the book go hand and hand with the story within it’s pages.

I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future as I enjoy her style of writing. I also enjoy her style of illustrating! It’s fun and always remarkable to see in my opinion.

{My thoughts} – Where do I start? I absolutely love the Owl Diary Series. I am thrilled to see a similar being released for younger children in board book form. I know there are more new books and series coming up from Rebecca Elliot in the very near future and I am counting down the release dates!

This is a must have book for any parent that has littles that enjoy colorful and short books. I absolutely love seeing Eva marketed to an even younger generation. As it stands my three year old has no issues sitting through the Owl Diary books, so I am sure she is going to be thrilled when she sees that Eva is now in a book she can keep on her bookshelf!

The illustrations and the words go together flawlessly within the pages of this book. It is written in a rhyme formation which in my opinion helps to make it a bit more catchy. I really do hope that more books will be released in this manner in the near future! It is most certainly a new loved book for me!

{My thoughts} – I really cannot get over how amazing this book series is! Eva is a sweet little owl that keeps track of her day to day in a diary. Each book is a diary based on the events that are taking place in Treetopolis at the time the book takes place.

We have been on so many different adventures with Eva, her family and her classmates, that this book is no exception. In Treetopolis they celebrate a day called Falling Leaves Day. It is quite similar to that of Thanksgiving and it is a day for all the animals of the forest to show their thanks and appreciation for the things they have, their friends and family and more.

I love how the illustrations and the text within these books go hand and hand. I love how it is written in diary form and is a lot like a graphic novel. Visual learning is just as important as being read to or learning to read, these books are colorful and amazing. They have simple text and amazing illustrations. My three year old enjoys having these read to her and she likes to point at the images as well as the colors and of course we spend more time telling her what is what then reading, but that’s all a part of the wonderful learning process at her age.

I cannot wait until she gets a little older and is ready to learn how to read. These books will be some of the first on our list! I can’t wait to see where this series is going with the next book!

{My thoughts} – In this book Eva goes to bed after leaving her bedroom window open. When she wakes up her pet bat is missing. He apparently flew out the window after she’d went to sleep.

At school they are suppose to write a story and then submitting it for a contest. Eva can’t concentrate on anything but her missing pet. All her classmates band together and help her look for him. The look everywhere, while still working on their stories.

Eventually they find him and rescue him. Eva is so happy to have him back that she’s finally able to work on and complete her story. The next night at school they all read their stories for the contest.

I really enjoy these books. They have colorful illustrations, simple stories and nice little lessons within the pages. I also like how at the end of each book their are discussion questions that can be used to further discuss the readers understanding of the book.
