While this progresses in a logical linear order (at least for an MG book), it seems a little confused as to what it wants to be, other than a story that adds in science experiments.

My copy of the book was an advance reading copy, so it was missing a few illustrations, which was sad because the illustrations enhanced the book. Go out and buy this book, the kids will love it!
