2107 The Struggle Over Lebanon, by Tabitha Petran (read 3 Nov 1987) The author iwas a correspondent for the Guardian and for PM who lived in Syria and Lebanon from 1962 to 1986. She is very much against Israel and the Christians in Lebanon, and blames them for much of the trouble in Lebanon. She is in favor of the "progressive forces." which is probably a term for Communists. But regardless of her bias, she shows the troubles in Lebanon are mind-boggling. How life can go on in Lebanon, as it does, is hard to figure. I suppose my Christian Lebanon-born son-in-law would by very hostile to this book, since it has nothing good to say for the people I think he supports in Lebanon… (altro)
