Robert L. Peterson (1) (1930–)

Though a bit hagiographic at points, this is a wonderful little book. Convicting in many ways, a sweet example of what loving, pastoral leadership should look like. Chapman clearly let the gospel get deep in his soul and lived out of that reality. I will no doubt come back to it many times to learn from his humbling example.

This is a great book for every pastor because it provides for us an example through the life of RC Chapman of how a pastor should love his flock and model the example of his own Lord and Savior. Strauch does a great job pulling out specific material from the full biography and applying it to every day ministry.
