In this, unfortunately, the final episode of the Hoare cycle, he weds and beds the sturdy but impressive young widow and they adopt the streetwise orphan, Jenny. Interesting main character, Sherlock Holmes in Navy Blue, who takes on odd commissions for the British Admiralty. Treachery and sabotage are afoot in Portsmouth which provide a rich stew of characters and plots for Hoare to unravel. Oh yes, he is quite touchy about his name,
