I feel like this encapsulates feminism in a lot of ways because it's a collection of young women's voices all joining together, from all different backgrounds.
I understand that a lot of people say it's superficial and that's why they didn't enjoy it, but, I think that's why I like it. I often read a feminist nonfiction book and feel exhausted by the end. Exhausted by the pervasiveness of the patriarchy and the damaging statistics that the book provides me with.
This, however, is a little bit different in that it doesn't go so in-depth, but it also doesn't leave me feeling so exhausted.
This book seems like a great introductory book to feminism, and it's great that it's so modern and relevant to third wave feminism. I read contributions from people like Laura Bates, who I've been wanting to read for some time anyway, so it was great to get a taste of their work.
