This was a gift from some friends of mine who were involved with wildlife rescue with me about 10 yrs back. At the time we were getting flack for running around the bush highways saving all manner of creepy crawlies who were not quite roadkill. Anyhow they thought it was interesting to read about people slightly more "crazy" than us. There are a large number of good documentary type photographs contained in the book. It's an enlightening look at one of the more obscure religious cults.

Absolute garbage. No cited references, racism, sexism and gross misrepresentations abound. This is deeply offensive towards practicioners of Vodoun and Santeria due to its inaccurracies and slanderous portrayal of members of this faith.
