Very interesting book about what happens when state thinks it is endangered on all fronts and lets its security forces run the state instead of other way around.

Although it is true that sometimes politics can impede security processes [and history shows that shadowy organizations are then used for protection of state] state must not become ran by shadowy organizations or, even worse, become one.

Great example of investigative journalism and pursuit of truth.

Recommended for anyone interested in security forces topic.… (altro)

It is great that the information in this book is in the public domain ... but shocking what they did. You only get a vague idea of the extent of the rot from daily news.

Hopefully the rot will be cut out, but it is deep...

The book feels like a rush, and it probably needs another edit / review cycle, but that is of second importance.

Great read

Easy to read. Well put together, great detail. Good explication of complex web of corruption. Recommend for a good summary of where South Africa is now.
