John, have you been reading my mail? I'm not sure how I feel about you writing about my life as if it were yours.
From the "buying a bigger bed to accommodate the furry folk" to our "throw-yourself-at-the-window, 5 pound, testosterone-loaded, men dogs", these stories are our stories and must be universal. And I'll bet they are universally understood by pretty much all dog owners.
This simple philosophy resonated with me. I thank you for keeping it simple and making it readable. I cannot read, or enjoy reading, the philosophy of Thoreau, Ayn Rand, Michael Murphy or people like Mill and Nietzsche. I hope a lot of people read this book. We can learn a lot from dogs.… (altro)

I loved this story because I love dogs and have learned my own lessons from them. Some of O'Hurley's lessons I had learned from my own pets, others I was learning for the first time. Well written and humorous, just a feel-good group of anecdotes that - hey! - might give you somethingto think about in your own life.
