A Very Merry Christmas di Robyun Officer
To quote the introduction, this little book “captures the wonder that this special holiday brings with a potpourri of quotations, poems, carols, and more.” Christmas is a special time, and this book touches on many of the reasons we celebrate the season. But many of the thoughts, though centered around Christmas, are appropriate any time, as this quote by James Russell Lowell seems to imply: “Not what we give, but what we share, for the gift without the giver is bare.” Liberally illustrated with charming drawings, this little book is a Christmas treasure.… (altro)
There’s no doubt that this little book is the purr-fect little cat book. There are so many cat illustrations it practically purrs in your hand! There is a section about cat breeds, and one with cat quotes, but my favorite section was all about cat puns. You will also learn useful things, like most beds sleep up to six cats. Ten without the owner. And to err is human, to purr is feline, and a cat can purr it’s way out of anything. How true.
