Madeline Pecora Nugent

Though I have been praying the Office for two or three years now, I still found this book to be a great resource. I would say that this book is a "must have" for those who have no background with The Divine Office, but want to see what it's about and how to go about praying the Office. It is very practical, going step-by-step for those who have either a four-volumn breviary (prayer book) or like me have the one volume breviary.
The appendicies provided are wonderful models of the various lessons Nugent provides and the Glossary is very helpful for those beginning to understand the terms and language of a prayer book.
Partiularly helpful are the occasional DODO SELF CHECK boxes which allow one to review key concepts and quiz yourself on what has been learned up to this point.… (altro)
