A very interesting look at a China/Russia/Japan long gone as Newsham's trip was in 1984. Although his book was written a number of years later, it had a stronger sense of currency than did "Take me With You". Really made me think again about doing the Trans-Sib

I especially enjoyed the time he spent in Kenya, as this is where we honeymooned and it reminded me of a wonderfully special time.
