- Chris Mounsey has been teaching English Literature at King Alfred's College, Winchester, for ten years. It was a teacher-training establishment and is now an arts college. He has published two academic books, a biography of the eigteenth century poet Christopher Smart and a collection of essays: both with Associated University Presses (both published in 2001). He is at present working on a new biography of Daniel Defoe. From Amazon's page on 'Essays and Dissertations'

One Step Ahead: Essays and Dissertations di Chris Mounsey
OK, I may be slightly biased in the fact that I've been taught by Chris and find him really inspiring! But this really is one of the few books I have bought to help me write my undergraduate essays, and I know I will be using it for my dissertation as well. It was recommended to me by one of the other lecturers at the University (honest!) and I have found that I have not needed to buy many others, not even the recommended Palgrave Study Skills Handbook.
