Ira J. Morris (1916–1985)

Morris was a Russian-born Brit married to a British businessman, so she travelled with him extensively. She worked as a magazine art director and sometime reporter, so her powers of observation are very entertaining and make for great reading. Often she is just plain funny, and best of all, really enjoys herself in most all situations, given a cocktail. She wrote The Glass of Fashion, and some novels but I wish she had written more non-fiction. Delightful.
