Perhaps light-on, but for an introduction to a general audience that may be appropriate. However some quaintnesses of which Thomas might approve sit a little uneasily in a 21st centiry text. The so-called generic "man", gender specific pronouns for God, even capitalization of divine pronouns, provide an archaic feel that should have been edited out even when the subject was a liturgicaly conservative quasi-grumpy mystic poet!

That said, Thomas shines through Morgan's inadequacies, and it is a fine romp, if only a romp, through Thomas' poetry of faith.… (altro)
