Zee Monodee

Walking the Edge was a blend of assassin/spy thriller and sizzling romantic suspense story with a tough female heroine suffering from amnesia. When snippets of a memory of a man she must have been close to appear to her, she escapes London and her frosty husband who has been keeping her drugged and closely guarded and travels to Marseilles in search of answers from Gerard Besson, the local commissaire de police.
In France, layer after layer of her past is revealed in a captivating manner, and the relationship between the heroine and the local cop develops into an intense love story while the action accelerates when both are chased by dangerous opponents.
Fast paced and well written, this was a really good read by an author who was new to me. With lots of drama and mystery, this kept me entertained throughout, and I look forward to reading the other books in the Corpus Brides series.

Short story=short review, but man on man! Ms. Monodee packs one whopper of a punch into this awesome 1Night Stand installment! From the instant captivating plot line to the lovable characters, this fast read is perfect for that in between read, and just enough to get you needing a fan!

Lars and Simmi, both corporate professionals, don't think they need love. What they do need, is a way to relieve all that build up sexual tension that they feel. Trouble is, they don't want to have a fling with someone they know. They want a complete stranger so it will be easier to walk away with out all that awkward mumbo jumbo.

Lars' friend sets him up on one of Madame Evangeline's 1Night Stand dates, and Simmi decides to take the plunge into a tryst that will help her overcome the "Ice Princess" rumors that are being said about her. But, will that one night be enough for them? Especially when they come to realize that they do, in fact, know each other? Will Madame Evangeline have another successful romance story that moves beyond a simple one night stand of steamy romantic pleasure?

From an instant pleasure filled moment of trust, to realizing what walking away will do, this story is filled with so much more than just the 30 something pages it's made of! Definitely worthy of 4 Books, Ms. Monodee has created a wonderful story for the 1Night Stand line and I look forward to more of this author's work!… (altro)
