אסור לצפות ליותר מדי מכל ספר שמנסה לסכם היסטוריה של מדינה בת אלפי שנים במספר קטן של מאות עמודים. ומבחינה זו גם חלקו הראשון של הספר הזה הוא במידה רבה רשימה של שמות שהרבה מהם לא נשאר בזיכרון. אבל למזלי החצי השני של הספור מוקדש בפירוט הרבה יותר גדול להונגריה במאה העשרים וזה סיפור מרתק, מדהים ומפחיד שמתקשר כמובן להיסטוריה האישית שלי ומהדהד את הכניין ההולך וגובר שלי בהונגריה שהיה מת לחלוטין הרבה שנים והולך ומתעצם בימים אלה.. למזלי החלק הזה מספר את הסיפור המדהים הזה כלל לא רע והשאיר אותי עם הרבה טעם לעוד.… (altro)

I understand this is a translation from the French edition (Histoire de l'Hongrie) which is itself a transaltion of the Hungarian. Plan to read the French edition.
