This was a fun, quick and dirty read.

One woman who has had more sexual partners that most people on a party put together, discovers at random that she is the soul mate to three bear-shifters. Now the fun begins.

That she has had all kinds of sexual experience means she has no problem getting on board with all the kinky ways these three guys want to have her. She was only slutty because she decided to stick it to her kingpin father, who really didn't care one way or another.

The heroine's open mind prevents the whole convincing the mate scenario where the heroine just balks at everything sexual and the hero/es have to seduce her. None of the "Don't worry I won't take you here..tonight" trope when it comes to anal (that always pisses me off, the assumption that the heroine has never done that before, and the "threat" to do it to her)

Not in this book, they wasted no time getting down and dirty. There is a plot beyond the sexual adventures, but it mainly fulfills the need for a story beyond the sheets. Kingpin father puts a bounty on his daughter's head after she goes to the Feds. Daughter runs away in the middle of the night and finds herself seeking shelter in a cabin that was unoccupied. Three bear shifters who are all soul-bound together in what is called "twin flames" come home to find that the woman sleeping in their bed is the unexpected fourth to their union. This is good because only two of the three bears have sex with each other, the third was just pining away for a relationship of his own.

The three shifters easily convince the woman of the fact that she is their "mate", she gets on board, and then one goes to meet with the father to inform him that any further attempts to get their "mate" would be treated as an act of aggression and reciprocated as much.

Father sends out various and sundry to try and kill the daughter, the bears, anyone who gets in the way.

Between dealing with the "bad-guys" this foursome get into some seriously sexy scenes. Lots of sexy scenes.

And that's about it. The book is a great read between heavier reads. Its a great read when you want to just escape into something that draws you in quickly but doesn't keep you up till three am to finish.

Its like Gracen's other standalones in that there is little to no angst, there is lots of imaginative and unique sexual situations, and there is room left for a sequel (although she never has made a sequel to her standalones).

For free on Amazon, you should get the book and just hold on to it until that time you are hunting around for something to read and just need a few hours to escape into a fun, sexy, and seriously hot read.

I always cruise to Gracen's Amaon page for new books, Her Road to Hell series is one of my favorites, and her standalones are just as good. Generally they are paranormal menage's and sexy as hell. Great, fun, sexy, reads with HEA's.

The Road to Hell series is set up with this prequel that introduces us to a 15 year old Madison Westcott, and (apparently mid-twenties)Micah Dominus. Taking place in Savannah, Georgia we learn that Madison is the innocent daughter of the town preacher, and is always being told by her father that she is a seductress and a whore who deliberately entices the men in his congregations. Of course she is anything but this, however her father refuses to accept her denials and attempts at modesty. Madison's mother is anything but maternal and if her father were to actually open his eyes he would see that his wife, who can do no wrong in his eyes, is the actual seductress he accuses his daughter of being.

Micah Dominus is a hot shot lawyer who blows into town, making a beeline towards Madison. He has an agenda and it ends with Madison becoming his wife. Plans years in the making all end with this outcome. We are not directly told exactly what Micah is off the bat, but he isn't what he shows himself to be around anyone except his brother Elias. We do quickly learn that he definitely isn't on the side of the angels, and Madison's mother was given a part to play before Madison was even born Micah plays the long game with Madison, setting himself up as a friend and protector until she grows up enough to make the first move on him. He knows she's innocent and skiddish and he refuses to rush her and ruin his plans. It is imperative that she come to him of her own free will.

Regardless of his long-term plans for Madison outside of wife and mother, he adores her. Throughout the book he has had nothing but the best of (his) intentions towards her. This is paramount to the upcoming series because his actions in this book give insight to his treatment towards her in the series. If you do not read this prequel you will lose the perspective that is needed to understand the motives and behaviors taken in the series.… (altro)
