City signs are visually everywhere for a child to see when outside of their own environment. Signs can be a first step to reading and following directions. This book is filled with visually stimulating photography, no writing. It is a book that can be shared in a small group setting, to stimulate conversations about what signs mean and how we as people use them.

This book is full of photographs that get the children talking about what they mean. It shows signs all around us like, at a parking lot, at the market, at the park or even on the school bus.

This books shows children about signs around the world and helps the understand what they mean. Its good to keep children aware of signs they will see.

This one bugged me because I think the high concept is they just went around the city taking pictures of colours and used what they could get, but when the centrepiece of your picture for "purple" is a YELLOW chair then you are either expecting kids to focus on the object and not the ground (see Nisbett and Masuda 2003), which is a bit much, or just not trying very hard.
