When the power goes out, Kate is on the hunt. However, mysterious gifts begin arriving to strangers. As a journalist, the person responsible is certainly giving Kate something to report on.
I absolutely loved this book. Generally, suspense books have a dark theme behind them, but this is a completely refreshing twist.

An enjoyable read. More mystery with a hint of literary fiction, rather than book club fiction, regardless of the fact it's from Amazon's book club imprint, Lake Union Publishing. Perhaps a smidge of romantic suspense as well.
The book kept me entertained, but no lasting impression to "stay with me" after I turned the last page. I did learn some cool astronomy

Gone Geeky Girl. This book definitely has a Gone Girl kind of vibe to it as we follow a female NASA astronomer as she presents her findings in DC, then comes home to find her husband missing. Overall, it was a very cleverly written book from an angle not often seen, and so from that perspective was excellent. My only quibble is that I am one of those that virtually *never* sees the bad guy coming... and in this one, it was fairly obvious by the 60% mark. Still, an absolutely worthy read and highly recommended.… (altro)
