The kids didn't "enjoy" this book the longer we read it. They were more interested in the beginning and the end of the book. But there are some wonderful truths especially in the last chapters that are good. Edifying book. Rich truths. But it's hard to creatively do what Lewis or Bunyan did literature wise (at one point Christian compared this book to those books stating the latter books are better). Nonetheless, I'm glad we read it.
I think there are images in this story with rich biblical truths that they will remember or I plan to bring up in conversations. I'm so thankful we read this lovely book this advent together. And I think the children benefited more from this book spiritually than they realize.… (altro)
