Lakota youth express their “feelings of Indian self-identity” and connec- tion with their traditional Native culture. The reader gains an under- standing of contemporary Lakota life through these perspectives. Au- thor’s Note, Index of Titles, Index of Poets.

Maybe by now, if you see my review list, you'd see I have a soft spot for Native Americans. I honestly love these series of poetry and not only that they are beautiful and soulful, emotional, and honest. They are written by small people, the youth of the Lakota tribe.
