Delightful! Audiobook is excellent.

Eve has been hung up on Ed for a long, long time but they are part of a tight knit group of four that has continued to socialize over the years. Then one of them is killed and that is the catalyst for Eve's personal growth. Along the way secrets are revealed that feel very much like a betrayal for Eve and that help her to see her friendships from a different perspective. Compelling stuff about grief and loss.

« That’s the problem with my life: it produces too many anecdotes and not much else. »
And therein lies another problem with this book. The first half is rather disjointed and doesn’t make clear what path the story is taking. Happily, this is sorted in the second half, although I would have felt less traumatised by reveals had there been some effective foreshadowing.
