Meh. Jenny McCarthy is not known for her writing skills so I shouldn't have been surprised. I did the audio version, read by the author herself and it still wasn't very funny. I enjoyed Her pregnancy memoir "Belly Laughs" so I thought I'd like this. She should stick to comedy and leave the self-help to the experts. Dissspointed.

I was very skeptical going into this book. After reading it, I would recommend it for anyone who is parenting a child with developmental delays. I am totally inspired to look at how I care for my daughter in a different way. People that work with her comment frequently that her disabilities resemble autism. Because it is not one of her many, many formal diagnoses I've never looked into to. When you are already drowning, the last thing you need is more water. Well, this book is oxygen. My favorite quote: "There is no Ronald McDonald House for us, no wing at St. Jude's to offer help, or even hope." This book gives me hope. And right now, that is what I need.… (altro)
