This charming collection reads less like short stories about the myriad types of love and more like simple recollections/slices of life. Yet imbedded are bits of advice, wisdom, admonishment, humor – lessons indeed – being handed down. Tucson author Martin imparts a Mexican-American cultural heritage, as well as a sense of family, that is heart-warming, bittersweet, and wise.
