Ian Kennedy Martin

Not much like the series. Regan and Carter are bitter rivals rather than the buddy act familiar from TV. There also seems to be an element of over the top parody in the character of Lt. Ewing, a hard as nails San Francisco PD detective on a vengeance mission who makes Dirty Harry look lightweight. Still, it's a serviceable thriller in its own right and interesting as an alternative take on The Sweeney, one closer to creator Ian Kennedy Martin's original vision of Jack Regan as a rule breaking loner cop at war with criminals and his own colleagues.… (altro)
