Joseph A. Margolies

This book is an anthology edited by Joseph A. Margolies and published in 1946. It's just chock-full of great stories, from the famous (Beerbohm's "Enoch Soames") to the amusing (Benet's "Daniel Webster and the Sea Serpent") to the freaky ("In the Mirror" by Valery Brussof). There's nothing here that will keep you up at night, though a few of the stories might run a chill through you, given the right atmosphere. It would be a great choice for a guest room or summer place, or just to keep by your bed and read when the mood strikes.… (altro)
