Peter C. Mancall is Andrew W. Mellon Professor of the Humanities, Professor of History and Anthropology, and the Linda and Harlan Martens Director of the USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute at the University of Southern California. Intriguing, but you're nearly as much in the dark at the end of the book as you would be without having read it. Too little is known about what really happened

A good biographical-historical treatment of Thomas Morton, perhaps taking him a bit too much at his word, but none the worse for that.

A good popular history of Henry Hudson's last voyage. Readable and well done.

Valley of opportunity : economic culture along the… di Peter C. Mancall

The book was rather a struggle but I finally finished. It primarily talks about land acquisition, ownership, use of the land and some other trades in the area. There is a small section on transportation, primarily related to road construction and upkeep or rather lack of upkeep. It's clearly a book for reference. It has an index but no consolidated bibliography so you must go to footnotes.
