This book is great for students that are learning about how energy is transferred. It includes what it means for energy to be at work, and how it is transferred. It discusses examples such as explosive energy, sound, light, heat, and electricity in motion. It also includes a fun DIY science experiment about how solar energy works which uses everyday material (not expensive). There is also a glossary at the end of the book which includes words such as chemical energy, circuit, conduction, convection, etc. The illustrations are engaging, the text is age-appropriate, and it is fun to read as it connects to students’ background knowledge. These are all reasons why this book is so great! I would use this as a read-aloud or an independent read for a lesson about energy.… (altro)
